23rd January 2025 Tolpuddle evening class - exploring types of clay
Do you enjoy watching the pottery throwdown? Have you noticed there are different clays used for different projects? This session is all about exploring clays, some are easy going, some are grumpy. There are pure white clays, speckled clays and buff clays. Some smooth, some very course with grog. They all behave differently. You will be exploring 4 clays, stressing them and pushing them to the limits. Each will be glazed with a tin white glaze to bring out the colour.
Pieces will be kiln fired and ready about 3 weeks later.
Please note new venue. Class is from 7pm to 9pm, Thursday 23rd January 2025 at Tolpuddle Old Chapel, 59a Main Road, Tolpuddle, DT2 7ET. There is even tea and coffee facilities.
Refunds on classes are not available if cancelled less than 14 days before the class.
